Hello Everyone,

It's been a while I have not updated my thread in this wonderful Trainz place, but I had my reasons -- I have been lost on Marsz, and since Marsz then used maglev tracks it was somewhat limited; But how time has changed -- Marsz will now use a combo of Maglev tracks and Rails -- to see a demo on how it is all put together please take a view at the video below:



The video shows-off the concept and theme of the module, which I am proud to say that I got influenced by our own Albert, yes, founder of the IberTrainz - He made modules a while back, so why not followed his model, and do the same to display all of Marsz contents, which will total close to 2000 items by weeks' end!

Still, I must say, all this would not have been possible if it wasn't for Manuel, yes, Manweb, who has been a great influence and teacher in creating a different kind of world, but nevertheless, it's a world that still requires goods and services to be delievered!

These goods and services will be displayed via modules (more on this, in full detailed here: http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?98394-*Interactive-Modules*) --

Also, there's 15 modules to download from the DLS! The new modules with railing are done, and should be uploaded in the coming weeks!!!

All in all, Marsz might not carter to your taste of trainz, but give it a chance, and you might be surprised how much fun it could be!

It's been since May I have launched T12 --- I forgot a few things, like:

How do I displayed all of my items from the DLS onto the T12 window?

I did this:

Ish6 and then highlighted author, but no items were display.

Yes - But in T12 -- I dislike searching for objects, especially one's favorite, so I am not sure if creating filters in CMP+ can one actually create some kind of bookmark, and add one's object to that selection ... so, not sure if trainz can do that!

Sure, I'll be coming around, indeed -- In fact, I am working on a HST route, so will display updates here at well! LOL

I got back into trainz in January --- took out two routes that been in dormant from trainz 06 --I ma having fun doing all this, especially since I am aiming to get the route ready for TANE, LOL

All in all, fine --- Kid growing face, and getting older here! --- Thank you for asking! I hope that you, nad your family are all on good spirits, sir!

I use lay down a long stretch of highway, and I would like to increase traffic on it -- I know, I know, you click for more splines, etc to add -

However, if there a way to add more traffic to the spline via config file?

Yes, Ishie, the carrate belongs to the realms of the region assets and  road splines as KIND track.

Your road spline (as track KIND) must have these two tags:

Código: [Seleccionar]

carrate .....higher than 3
isfreeway 1
but your region must also have:

Código: [Seleccionar]

region     <kuid:XXXXXX:YYYY>     ..............the kuid of your region
carrate    4                      ..............an integer 3 to 50 in value to control
                                                the delay between cars being spawned
                                                (smaller value means more carz)

isroad (of course, for track type road)
If set (1), splines of this type are considered roads. Roads support the generation of Carz. Roads are flagged as blocked by KIND MOCrossing while the crossing gate is closed. Road splines can generally be joined, even if they are different assets.

isfreeway
(Only applicable to splines which have 'isroad' set.)
If set (1), this boolean tag causes a multilane road to act as a freeway. This allows carz to change lanes at will, and causes all traffic to flow in the spline's forward direction only. Overtaking is still allowed on non-freeway roads.

numlanes
(Only applicable to splines which have 'isroad' set.)
Defines the number of carz lanes on a road. Each lane is considered to be 1.7 meters wide. If the road is a freeway, all traffic flows in the same direction. TBD: What, if anything, does this mean for a non-freeway road?

traffic-speed
(Only applicable to splines which have 'isroad' set.)
Defines the carz speed limit of the road in meters per second. Carz currently travel at up to 80%-110% (depending on the car) of the speed limit, except when overtaking. This tag does not relate to trains in any way.

First, thank you very much for that valuable information, gentlemen!

Second, only fair to show you why I asked --- Below, a screenshot of Community 3 (progresssive shot) -- I decided to constructed it as a whole layout (uploaded at sometime) -- But merge it with Inter-Urban Metro Line route, in the future -- Anyhow, point taken, hopefully traffic will run at at capacity alongside ocean side and parkways!

The monorail which runs along the ocean side will not see the freeway until it all merges a few baseboards down --- I needed to hide it away til then, LOL

Highway 1 is the Florida's key west highway --- If you have seen the movie true lies, I believe that's it.

As for trainz, I took your advice and we did it...it's more presentable and clean, etc LOL .... it's why I call it progressive screenshot ... I am always looking for suggestions and opinions, sir! 

And actually, thanks for the picture -- will implement such a scene, certain since there's plenty of Oceanside (km) of monorail track yet to be place!!

I drove there and was ticketed by the State troopers! . I was gun-pointed and on the verge of being arrested for the fact of daring getting out ouf my rented car!!!!!!!!!!!

I still remember their Siiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrr, Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnntoooooooo the caaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Overreacting cops, I daresay! I still remember the day, dear Ishie even though it was a long time ago on one of my first visits to the States.

Key Largo was a nightmarish hell of traffic jam that day. I guess on that  summer day all the Martians like me had decided to drive down there.

As you know I live in Florida, and besides the thick air and steamy days, it's a nightmare to go to places in the summer time --- too much traffic, parks filled with tourist -- We have yearly passes to places like Bush Gardens and Island Adventure (waterpark) for our little girls to enjoy, but forget going in June, July, and August --- massive crowds! ---, so I agree on the traffic!

As for the state troopers, I never see them!!! -- no wonder there's so much reckless driving in Florida!

Have maglev tracks been laid over a long stretch of water?

I don't think Maglev was, dear Ishie. Maglev system needs very strong foundations and seabed doesn't seem to be very suitable to it.

But, as you do know, everything is possible in Trainz.

I was just curious since Tane will certainly the next leg on this long journey of Trainz --- No doubt that CM is a powerful features that's was underrated, and if you read my thread at the forum from the beginning Tony Hillman said that CM is not the priority at this time --- So, we will see what happens next year, etc
