Hi All,

Well, I have been missing in action, but you know me... I'll stop and say hi from time to time.

Still, not feeling trainz... looks like I'll get back into the swings of things this fall.

Well, our next baby is due Aug 18, ofthis month. It's schedule to be deliver that day -- It's a girl like before. I will come back and post screenies of the new baby and Kyra as well.

Hi Alberte and others,

It is sad to see Ed leave, but at least we know why and get to say good bye.  Over the years we have seen people "disappear" and we never know why.  Many just move on to other life's interest but sadly some leave for much more and its these people we do not get to say "good bye" to that often saddens me.

The Auran forum does seem to be "less interesting" or "very different" then it was some time ago.  I am not sure if its the forum or other reasons.  I started a thread the other day and someone said it was good to see me back    I had never left  , its just that I do not post that much now.  I read the forum each day but many of the threads I can not help with.  I do not use 2006 or 2009 at the moment and these take up many questions, with many other problem threads concern Vista.

I will miss Ed's post though, he is always there to "spice"up many threads with comments that would make anyone smile.

Hello Everyone,

Well, my desktop issues are at rest... finally everything is working just fine -- hopefully, it stays like that. Slowly, getting back into traiinz... I was looking through my files (CDP), and I might upload some general stuff, nothing special, just buildings.

This Tuesday, our next girl will be deliver, so we are exited here, and deeply looking forward to that moment. I'll post pictures, of course.

Maybe you mean the CMP, Ishie. No, no way. The CMP is built-in inside the Trainz installer. And the Trainz installer is so basic that it allows no custom installation.

Hello Alberte,

This is the problem – I copy and paste trainz version (2004) from one partition to another, since I was having pc issues. Trainz works fine, but now the cdp doesn’t
‘T want to response to the download station. I can upload just fine, but the DLS kicks the cdp back and suggest I repackage … I have assumed that it could be that I need to reinstall it, but I am looking for a way around, not to install TR04, but only the CDP.

But... that being the problem, I do think your Trainz has no issue at all, it's the DLS Upload facility again.

Hi Ish,

From what I have read on SP2 is that it does take some time to complete the installation, even a couple of hours.  I do not think this will change too much with the automatic one.

Apparently it does some work on Built-In content as well, so even if it looks like it is not doing something, it could be.  Its been suggested to let it run overnight 

Another thing too is that there may be some changes made to it in the form of a new SP or a minor patch.

Hi Craig,

i did installed PS2, and there after, TR09 began acting funny/// so much that I had reinstalled it. this morning, after installing SP2 last night, trainz did not wanted to start. Then C,MP2 was acting strange. I did patch it with the 15mb, but I'll leave it at that for now, since I don't really use it -- I am however, working on a route Claude did for me so long ago to show case any new items, but that's about it.

Hello Everyone,

Since i used TR04 as my only platform for installing and testing out all sorts of contents, I am now lost on how to package an item using TR09. I NEVER package an item with TR06, either.

Using TR04, I just click the cpd to package an item, but how does someone package it using TR09?

Yes, I know... I could read on how to do it, and I have, but that's was a long time ago, and I was not a fan of it. I know I had issues on how to choose a picture for the CDP, etc...

Anyhow, any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Ishie,

1. First of all, import your asset folder. CMP Menu --> import content.

2. Commit it. Ctrl + M

3. Select it and and RBM --> Save as cdp. And that's all. As long as the config.txt still bears the trainz-build 2 or 2.2 or 2.4, your packed assets will be eligible for TRS2004 and higher in spite of being packed with TS2009.

4. Of course, your could use the CCP, but by doing that your assets be unable to be used in previous versions of Trainz. Is it worth? Not that, IMHO. As a common rule (except if assets are made and used to run in native mode), all your assets will work faultless in TS2009 too.

Do not sentence fourers, sixers and classickers to life without your assets. I still make them for 2.2/2.4 versions of Trainz.

ah, so I have actually done something right, I downloaded the Service Pack but have not installed it 

I thought something was wrong when they posted the first SP that was not for the majority of members.  They only tested a small section of members first.  Maybe a good idea in the end as it did show some problems.

Thank you sir for the reference note -- I still like the old fashion way, to be honest. However, I am finally getting my feet wet on working on a couple of routes good friends made for me a long time ago, etc ... so that's my motive behind my question.

ALSO, I am having the same issue that Craig is having ... on your wonderful forum, every time I quote someone and then type my words just jump back ...

My only solution in typing in your forum is to type it on word and then copy/paste it here, however, I do hope you have a solution to this, sir -- thank you
